Their subcontractors were so competent and responsible that they came back, even years later, to adjust or correct a problem. Gary arrived a year after construction to inspect the house with me and make sure everything was as it should be and  I was happy with the work. I get compliments on my house all the time.

Home Renovation, Roberts Creek:

From the first inquiry email to first site visit to project completion Gary has always been fast to respond to my emails and/or phone calls. The renovation of my house involved gutting the main floor and partially gutting the walk out basement. I also had a very tight schedule to complete the work because of visiting families – less than 3 months. 

Of the few who submitted a quote Gary was the one whom understood my priorities and gave me the confidence that he would complete my renovation to my expectations. The whole renovation went very smoothly and I was ecstatic on the move in day. Working with Gary was a very enjoyable experience. He’s always giving me suggestions, options, pros and cons yet keeping me aware of how changes are impacting my budget and schedule.  His crew was polite and professional.

Home Build, Gambier Island, BC:

We had Gary McPhie of GM Projects build our house on Gambier Island in 1999. The basic plan was ours and Gary helped with modifications while drawing up the plans. All of his suggestions were good ones and appreciated years later.

The build took about 6 months and was actually a lot of fun, something that I have heard is unusual. Gary married up our building supplies with other orders so the barge costs were lower and itemized every purchase. He managed the crew and worked on site the entire time.

17 years later we still love our home. It has matured with us but still feels new every time we go home. There have been no issues related to building the house and none foreseen. We couldn’t be happier with our house and Gary McPhie.
